Creator outreach email templates

Three copy-paste emails that get replies from busy creators — a cold pitch, a warm intro, and a follow-up. Swap the [brackets] for your details.

Good creator outreach is personal, upfront that it's paid, and offers value first. Lead with a specific reason you picked them, keep it short, and offer free access so they can try the product. For who to send these to, see how to find the right creators.

Cold outreach
Subject: [Product] × your [channel]?

Hi [First name],

I've been following your [videos / newsletter] on [topic] — your recent piece on [specific detail] really landed with the exact people we build for.

I'm [Your name] from [Product]. In one line, we help [their audience] [outcome]. I think it'd genuinely be useful to your audience, and I'd love to explore a paid collaboration.

If you're open to it, could you share your rates and what a sponsored [video / post] usually looks like? Happy to send free access first so you can try it — no strings.

Thanks either way, and keep up the great work.

Warm / referral
Subject: [Referrer] suggested I reach out

Hi [First name],

[Referrer] mentioned you'd be a great fit for what we're building at [Product] — [one line on what it does].

Short version: we help [audience] [outcome], and your audience is exactly who benefits. We'd love to set up a paid collaboration if it's a fit.

Could I send you free access to try it, and grab 15 minutes to talk about what a partnership could look like?

Thanks,

Follow-up (5–7 days later)
Subject: Re: [Product] × your [channel]?

Hi [First name],

Just floating this back up — I know inboxes get busy. Still keen to explore a paid collaboration whenever the timing works.

If it's easier, here's free access to try [Product] first: [link]. No commitment.

Would a quick call next week work?

Thanks,
[Your name]
A few rules that lift reply rates
  • Personalize the first line with something only they would recognize.
  • Say it's a paid collaboration up front — don't make them ask.
  • Offer free access so they can try the product before committing.
  • Keep it under ~120 words. One clear ask.
  • Follow up once. Then move on.
